Hello! My name is Heidi Wetterling. I have worked at WCA South for the past three years. I began teaching 1st grade in 2009. Then I taught 3rd grade for two years and now I am back with 1st graders! I graduated from University of Minnesota, Morris with a major in Elementary Education, with an area of emphasis on Age 3 to Grade 3. Teaching isn’t just a job for me—I truly LOVE teaching and kids! I feel like teaching is the absolute best job in the world and I am honored to have the privilege of working with your children every day. I take my job very seriously and I do everything in my power to make my classroom a productive learning environment where each student feels cared for, respected, and comfortable.
I am married to Mike Wetterling and currently live in Ashby. Mike works at Ottertail Power in Fergus Falls. He grew up in Kensington, so I am very familiar with the area and am so proud to be a part of the school district.
Other than teaching, I enjoy playing with my nieces, spending time outside, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and beading! I also cherish my pets. I have a cat named Peaches and a Golden Retriever named Bailey. They are very loved!!
I look forward to getting to know you and your child! I know it will be a great year of learning and fun!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wetterling
